Our Internalized Crap
- February 9th, 2023
Greetings this #ThinkingThursday, how is your week flowing so far?
This phrase has been emerging from my consciousness for a while now; Our internalized crap will likely become our projected crap, and/or it will make us sick.
Transform that crap into the richest fertilizer with your personal development!
By crap, I mean layers of cultural conditioning, programming and false beliefs, which tend to consolidate our valid traumas
The effect of this crap is crappy self talk, crappy boundaries, crappy addictions, crappy pain, and crappy relationships
Much of this #InnerWork is a process referred to as decolonizing (or uncolonizing) our minds, hearts and bodies
I’m passionate about this process, facilitating the unlearning and relearning, so that we can get out of our own f’n way (fear & ego) that holds us back from embracing wholeness on our path of divine, authentic purpose on the planet
This is a part of the path to Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, aka JEDI. Our colonized society is based on a hierarchy of better and worse, driving the experience of division
Classism, sexism, racism, ageism, ableism, LGTBQIA+ phobias, xenophobia, etc. becomes inherent in the culture, and intolerance is an experience many people experience daily
If this cultural attitude is in the air we breathe, the water we drink, it becomes the ‘norm’
If your expression or behaviour isn’t the norm then it is by definition, ‘deviant’ and then we are the object of contempt, and shame becomes embodied — internalized beliefs and attitudes.
For example, when the misogyny behind sexism is the norm, as women we internalize this belief, and it can be very subtle and insidious.
Since this frypan hit my face a few years ago, I’ve been exploring and healing this sensation of being bad and wrong as a woman in this patriarchal culture.
This manifests as fear, grief and shame in my tissues, which holds me back from living my best life as an #Aligned #Authentic & #FullySelfExpressed Goddess in human form on Earth
I’ve met people who have internalized racism and homophobia, and I feel this is a tragedy.
We are deeply hardwired to conform socially, and it takes epic courage to do this deep inner healing to embrace who we are with inner love, gratitude, peace & joy, be damned the prejudice and discrimination we may experience
This is understandably easier said than done, yet this underlines the value of community where we are Safe, Seen, Celebrated & Supported, like we are with The Love Your Vibe Transformation
I have faith we can learn from this crap, indeed it can become our richest fertilizer.
When we feel safe we grow, and we can become of service to others as they grow too
